Heres some pics of my homemade turbo project, 1980 1600 ghia

Mitsubishi td04 water cooled turbo from an old volvo 940!

Homemade log style exhaust manifold with crossflow flanges and garrett t3 turbo flange that i got from ebay

Turbo oil drain to sump which is now a proper threaded fitting rather than the red rtv in the pic lol
Oil feed is fed to the turbo through a custom made pressure hose t-pieced off oil pressure switch, also upgraded to high pressure oil pump from burton

Carb inlet plenum that my mate tig welded up for me from aircraft aluminium

Fuel pump is an electric injection pump from a honda cbf125 bike, malpassi rising rate fuel pressure regulator, unknown dump valve, crossover boost pipe from the volvo slightly modified, volvo 2.5" turbo dump pipe with reducer onto escort exhaust. Vacuum advance removed from dizzy, choke removed from carb, Cheap air filter from ebay, breather plumbed from crankcase to rocker then from oil cap to a can of rockstar lol!

Guages are unfinished at the moment but i have an innovate mtx-l air fuel meter connected to lambda in turbo dump pipe to monitor the mixture, its a bit on the lean side at cruising speed so need to up the main jets slightly. Tim boost and water temp guage, max boost is 0.4 with standard volvo wastegate.
Really happy with how its running, spins up the back wheels through 1st n 2nd gear under boost!
