Hi
Update is; I have an MOT now, but still have the issue with the power. Had a mechanic do a diagnostic, it says its the variable cam, which was not seated, but we anchored it, temporarily.
It is either a fuel or air problem. It will drive ok, unless you accelerate fast, at that point, it suffocates, of either air or fuel. Spent too much on it for now, but would be grateful for ideas. We have checked engine over and there is a rubber cover that is perished, but Fords aren't able to find the part on their system. It stems off an intake that can be used for an addition to the fuel/air system, where the air intake passes through the fuel (thingy, sorry but it's late and I can't remember what the part is called, but it is like the carb. which I know this car doesn't have, more's the pity, but that's where it is.) A small nipple with a rubber stopper. It might not be that. Open to idea's. Need to sell it to recoup my money and buy something cheaper! Urgently!

Thanks for any time you took to read this, and even more if you answer with some useful idea's!!
Kind Regards
Cas
