so seeing as the electric window switch swap around was a no no,(different connections for the rear window connectors ) ive done this instead
all soldered and crimped joints too
...........not typical me as anyone whos watched me work before will tell you ,but i need everything to be 100% now
so heres my revamped and "guts ripped out" drivers side dash vent as of 5.30 this morning
new adaptor arrived.............nope,just gave in and welded the damn thing on
righty then,rewired the switch so its now fed from what turned out to be a split 12v feed from the aux fuse box. real handy as far as im concerned. id even brought a volt meter home but upon inspection it was obvious that the switched power supply was shared over two terminals at a time all the way along the fuse box
being me,i didnt bother checking and went straight in with the crimper and connected the feed
anyway,the choke cable is now much more secured and will have a tidy up cover made to go over the top.
the exhaust is getting there...........................slowly
the wiring has been tidied right up and the fuel pump supply is all in and runs from the ignition now and lights up red......just like the dash ert
inside is as good as done,stereo is teh only thing left. ive left two tails for the o2 sensor but will just get it set up and sorted first,ill get the sensor done when the exhaust is made from staniless later next year.
ive replaced butterfly nut today too which has taken ages to do..........or at least remember to do
while i was playing ive drilled a pair of small holes in the foot well kick panel on the n/s. the fuse that now sits there is for the pump,i know the aux fuse box is fused .......obviously but better safe than sorry.
as for the spider,i guess its got all dead waiting to see the car move again...............................

the light at the end of this long tunnel is finally showing now so it should be a sweeeeeeeeeeeet summer of old ford cruising for me and the family. no more mods after its done,nothing at all !!!!!!!!!!!!
