Thanks for answering that, I had some mad idea for a mid mounted 4WD fiesta with a zetec turbo, but odv cnt be done.
The only other way I could think of (I dont want to rear mount it transversely) Use a FWD transverse gearbox but mount the engine North to South and further forward to the middle right behind the seats, and then make up two custom prop shafts.
has a fwd transverse box ever been used like that? so the shaft outputs point up and down the car not left and right. With alot of transverse boxes the shaft outputs are almost under the engine, I cant imagin it would be that far off balance from left to right. Rather than front left and right the shaft outputs would become front and back to diffs.
