I am stuck, having tried hacksawing through, which hasn't really gone very well, I am stuck with one wrecked side and do not know what to do. Do the release tools work at all? I do not want to buy one and find it just strips the threads or something.

I had to do this on my puma, found it much easier using a hole saw to cut out the rubber, then hack saw two cuts in the metal part of the bush. Taps out with a mallet and a flat screwdriver
