Nowt wrong with a mk4, I had one as my first car, dropped it 60mm on some Capri Lasers, stuck a cone filter on it and loved it before promptly stacking it in the side of a van.

Pretty sure the principle is the same in terms of mounting a 2.0 in it though, which that thread shows you.
