The trader I bought the car from has offered to cover half the cost, bloody glad they have as well, otherwise I'd be looking at nearly £600! They hadn't planned on getting the work done, but the garage they took it to diagnosed the problem then took it upon themselves to fix it, thinking it was a car off the forecourt and not a customers car.
