Yes good heater and car runs fine,I,m asking because when I got the car 4weeks ago someone had wired In a screw in sensor from an early escort to the fan loom .then cable tied it to the battery.if I took plug off screw in sensor and bridged it with wire then the fan would kick in.
I scrapped all the bodged stuff and fitted new sensor which screws in head at the back left of the engine under the alternator.
Ran it upto 90o but fans didn't kick in so will try to run it hotter

That's the underbonnet air temperture sensor that will make the fans cut in if it gets too hot. Yes it looks like a bodge, cable tied to the battery box, but that's just how it left the ford production line.
