It CAN be done without touching the tray etc, as I have done it, the most difficult part is removing the cover, I found I had to remove it at an angle.

I think if you find the job straightforward you are in the minority as when i Googled it the amount of people who cursed this job was certainly thye majority.

Lots of jobs can be done with a bit of force but quite often that leads to more jobs repairing/replacing the bits you've damaged lol.
