Has anyone looked into running the old dead locks on a solenoid?

I would like dead locks as they are pretty solid and hard to get into but I don't like the thought of haven't two locks on each side. Like the old locks everyone used to have back years ago. When you lock it the solid bit of metal goes into the pillar. Like the door locks on house hold doors
