Your missing the point ! its not the fact the long version of the Toyota ad has been banned or that its even about a Toyota it applies to all car manufacturers, its the legislation behind it i.e the BCAP T.V code stipulating the following.

No reference to power, acceleration or handling to be made nor imply excitement or competitiveness. Are they having a laugh don't imply excitement from driving is this not a free country can't we make our own minds up or do we have to be told how to think and behave ?

Section 11 of BCAP also states advertising must not suggest that fast driving is exhilarating. Words like performance can be ambiguous. No suggestion that a competitive sport has been used in the development of increased power/speed (eg race bred engines)

LET US MAKE OUR OWN MINDS UP! not legislate against things we enjoy.

Is there only me who this is winding up
