It could be anything from that.

Check map sensor, throttle position switch, injectors are flowing properly, fuel filter isn't blocked etc etc. coil pack, leads etc etc.

See how you get on with those, and try getting a code reader, they have a 3 pin plug under the bonnet you can connect to for simple fault code reading.
