Well, sorry you cannot get it sorted, I love my combi's and would hate to be without one on the road.
My two engins are four years apart age wise, also in the book all 1600cc the same. Also you take it from me on the 1600cc the pump gear must be held in place before pulling pump out. I told you this incase this is what could have happend to your engin, people do do these type of work without reading the manuel and takeing out the pump without holding this gear is so easy to do as this is how it is done on most motor,
BUT NOT on THE 1600cc. Other wise ???
I know my to pumps will change over for as I have said their phisical make up of both and the engins are the same.
You would think we would get some more comments on this subject would'nt you? All coments welcome.
Any way I will go right through my manuel tonight and see if I can download the part about holding the gear in place. I will try and post it for you , cyl Cheers Pete.
