Default My Turbo is Squeeky

i have a new GT28R thats done about 4k mileage at 18psi i've noticed that there is some oil on my water feed pipes for the turbo. this can only be coming from the braided oil feed i have fitted.

my turbo has recently made a high pitched squeeking noise. i found today that one of my head-manifold gaskets was loose. i tightened it up and now its not blowing.

the squeek was when the turbo went over about 5k rpm and 15psi before hand. now, it kicks in at about 3.5k rpm (which is the point i'm on full boost - 18psi). and the pitch doesn't change through the rev range like it did before, its a constant sound.

i checked the turbo for play in and out. there is a tiny amount of movement. maybe .5mm. i'm obviously not impressed with this as the turbo cost me the best part of £500

the 1st time i started to notice this high pitched squeek/whine was when i was really giving it some beans (5mins worth of flat out 18psi in 4th gear). the manifold and turbo were properly glowing after that. maybe that fucked it?

its boosting fine, etc. i'm thinking that the slight oil leek has maybe starved the BB core of lubrication and its damaged it, thats whats causing the squeek?

if it is fucked, do Garrett repair them?

Tom.
