that DONT sound like head gasket to me more like it's run lean for what ever reason and put a hole in one or more of the pistons what new plugs did you use and what was your engine spec etc?

ps drove mine home 20 miles smoke out the back drank loads of oil no water loss and 1 piston was holed when 1st engine let go with £100 worth of so called NGK racing spark plugs
