I have just checked and the 1.3 HCS has a "Weber 2V DFT" and the XR3 (Which should be the same engine as the XR2) has a "Weber 2V TLDM", so they aren't exactly the same.

The non HCS have Ford VV carbs, as I mentioned earlier, now that we know you have a Weber already I wouldn't think it's worth changing imo.
