fit the abs stuff back on again, it's much better when it's working

you did run all new lines yes as the abs system has the pipes in the wrong places for a non abs car

but if you've gone through all that hassle of changing all the pipework and stuff you need to use the all disc master cylinder and abs set up because the 1.8 stuff will be pushing drums on the rear and 240mm calipers on the front so you won't have enough fluid being moved/displaced internally and will have shit brakes

putting on even bigger calipers will make the problem even worse
