Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank1, Sensor2)

EML comes on for few days then goes out, this has happend twice in about 3 months and doesnt affect running of car,

is replacing the sensor the only cure?
dont want to pay out £50 for sensor if its at fault
