Great read,not surprised at any of the faults you had with the Clio injectors/wiring,I used to see quite a few come in the garage like that plus French build means that exhausts etc become service items.
All those things fade though in the environment where you took it as they inadvertently seem to be the perfect cheap track car and to get to Germany at speed relatively unscathed is good going as you werent exactly hanging about!!!
There's a reason why the official photographer took the photo of your missus driving instead of you that you already know....
