Would say 500 HP and above. The wear of a cambelt affected by the speed range and what camshaft is in use not from the horsepower or torque it make (only a guess)?

The belt and tensioner isn't expensive, thats right, but if you add the costs for the fitting it is a difference between every 10 or 50K.......
