Proper bargain this,can't see what else could compete at this price.

As for a discovery really don't bother,utter crap,have 5 mins (which will turn out to be an hour!!!)googling them too see just how bad they really are,early ones rot everywhere apart from the aluminium bits,steering boxes,electrics,trim,gearboxes,only good bit is the engine and even that's debatable.
Apparently they sorted the rot on the later ones but everything else goes wrong with them including engine issues as well.
They are good off road and cheap as chips as good points but I've seen them pass an mot one year with not much wrong then by the next it's totally rotten.
V8's just hurt on fuel in every way imaginable,less than 20 on gas,less than 10 making good progress,2.0l is a montego engine which says it all really.

Do yourself a favour and get a nice 2.8 pajero/shogun,only alternators to really worry about and they drive superb,not too bad on fuel either.

Another very tough bus is a Nissan terrano/ford maverick,taxicab engine that goes on forever,don't rust anywhere serious and don't even look that old in comparison to a vehicle that uses marina door handles,Sherpa lights and bits off a maestro van.

As the Aussies say "go to the bush in a discovery,come back in a landcruiser".
