I recently had to buy some Hero HZ1's (£65 fitted per corner) when i used to run Falken f425's (~£95 per corner) and to be frank they Hero's run as well in dry and nearly as well in wet as the falkens, and my old vrederstein sportrac's on 15"s wiped the floor with both them in the wet. So you could get these as an alternative (got them from Ford of all places)

Whilst my car only has 90bhp (atm), i do cane it round corners and i've not fallen off the road. you just need to know your own/the cars limits and drive accordingly.
