Sounds like you've got the important bits done already but if you want my advice I'd stick to standard rear lights are front lights, I reckon double style headlights and rear Lexus lights look pants, in my opinion anyway, it's you're car but you asked for tips and those are mine.

Lowering it on the gti alloys with the gti kit will look a lot better than a standard escort. If you really must change headlights then have a look at the smoked standard ones you can get.
