I'll start off with saying that I do own an Integra DC2 so I am probably slightly biased!
As alot of people have been saying on this thread the VTEC engine is a very good NA engine. My car is 210 BHP with 144 lbf-ft of torque and weighs 1080 KG 0-60 is around 6 seconds so you can't really say it's slow. To me its not all about the speed/power of a car the overall package counts as well. I have recently replaced every single suspension bush on my car along with the droplinks, ball joints and track rod ends. The handling is now exceptional. I have also updated the brakes so it stops as well. I am still running OEM springs and dampers.
Although alot of cars are faster than me in a straight line I make up for it in the corners. An Evo 2 came flying up behind up behind me a few weeks back and was sat on my rear bumper until we went round a couple of corners. He then over took me on a straight and pulled away a good 100 yards. Again we came to the twisties and then I was sat on his rear bumper. He actually pulled over after that.
The car goes very well on track as well I think a few people were a bit pissed off on my last outing at Castle Combe! They don't like a Japanese NA 1.8 tin box sitting on the ass of their much higher powered car
I actually used to own an Evo 3 a few years ago. It was 382 BHP and was a hell of alot faster than my DC2 but the DC2 is so much more fun to drive even though it is considerably slower.
