hi everyone,just joined up,but been mooching on here last few days [seen some cracking threads]so thought id join up.

heres my mk2....

.the story with this car is as follows.
in march my mint condition mk2 xr2 was rear ended.totaly wrote off,kinked shell and other things.so my plan then was to replace her with a non sunroof popplus mk2...which i found not so far from me for a tidy sum off £400.

i bought the xr2 back off the insurance for £450...and was paid out £2000
first plans was to strip it rite down and do all the engine transfer and running gear first[get the oily jobs out the way....

now all my xr2 running is gear is on.i got down to the body work,the shell is mint few surface scratches and a few tiny car park dings but no rust or holes....my first choice off colour was panther black,but we messed up on the first coat and had to start again.so there wasnt enough paint left,so the paint i had spare was kawazaki green[had no choice was on a budget haha]so i painted it green.......


strate away i built the car back up as i needed it as a daily driver,so never got round to flatting it and machine buffing it.this is on my to do list in the nxt mnth or so...heres a few more pics off her now...

would like some info if possible as im wanting a engine conversion...stuck in 2 minds on what to do???
