I am also finding it difficult to find cars at a decent price. Seems to be a big black hole at between £2500 and £5000 - you either get low mileage old stuff or high mileage newer stuff. Looking for an ST220 and I am finding it difficult rationalising the premium over a normal mk3.

A 2.0 MK3 seems to be 2- 3k cheaper than the same mileage ST220
