The gripper is like a welded diff on power, but off power it will go around bends without skipping.
A quaife never locks up so what it does it distributes power to the wheel with the most grip so you might feel a slight sway as you go on power but it you won't get full on lockup and wheelspin.
Why not try a pumped up vc? IMO uprated diffs are better and make a big improvement but it depends on application.
