up and down play is normal, its in and out that can cause problems of the blades hitting the housings etc

obv if the up and down play is excessive then again the blades will touch, but 1mm is fine as the shaft floats on oil

if it boosts and doesnt smoke, leave it the fuck alone! if its not broke, dont fix it!
