They are MT75 as standard.

I personally like Sierra's, I have been brought up with one for the past 18 years, I was always enthused by it, I then learnt about the Cosworth variant, which ultimately led me to the purchase of mine, by that alone I say is a testament to the integrity of the car's (How many other car's survive that long?) nothing major has ever gone wrong on it and only had basic servicing.

All depends what you define by good, alot depends on you as a person as to you liking it or not, bearing in mind the cars you mention you have had, if you like modern cars and safety etc then you won't like it.

Imo so long as you get one that is sound and has been well looked after, it will look after you.
