If you had an accident with no MOT 9 times out of 10 the insurance company will refuse to payout on the basis the car is not 'Road Worthy'. If an MOT isnt proof of road worthiness what is the purpose of it?

The reason there is so many cars with MOT's that shouldn't be on the road is backwards MOT testers IMO, if this country didn't have MOT's in place the condition of cars on the road would be shocking!!
