Ideally a turbo engine should have less valve overlap otherwise it blows boost out the exhaust, an NA engine needs the overlap to encourage scavenging and fuller cylinder filling, they'll work either way but if possible you'll want to trim back the overlap as it should hold boost better and make a bit more for same amount of boost.
