I notice you have thanked certain involved parties, but left out the details. I am not asking for the other guys name etc, but more on what the agreed resolution was? ie Who is paying you out and did you get the full value for your stunning, and frankly perfect car?
To add, I am not on a witch hunt, just purely interested in the outcome for the sake of us fellow marque owners. Once again, I am glad you have a happy result (as much as it can be happy anyway).

Thanks for the comments everyone, it's the best outcome I could have hoped for in the circumstances, and a very satisfactory one for me tbh , ok it doesn't change the fact that the car is written off but all the running gear is ok so got to be thankful for that.
Not gonna go into details or name and shame because I think that would be wrong after the efforts that the above mentioned people have gone to to get it resolved, I really can't thank them enough.
But to answer your question as to who sorted the situation financially, it was the other party's insurance company.
