im with the above! all the powder coating ive had done has been great! lasted years and the finish has been great. Ive even done a few bits myself that have turned out pretty good.
Powder coating costs more, but is better for running gear. I once went to an auto jumble and bought a gallon of hammerite smooth for £3 and sprayed it on all the running gear to the sierra after sandblasting it all. it looked fine but very soon chipped and got scruffy.
If you can afford powder coat, i would. if not, DIY paint is very easy and looks as good, just isnt a durable. imo obv
