Its your first car, get it looking right, clean it up, but dont 'modify' it, not worth it with insurance. For example,

If you declare your turbo, expect £20k+ premiums, if you don't declare your turbo and crash, insurance void, loss of licence.

Use it for a year or 2, build up no claims and experience, then go and hunt for boost.
