Where do these cheeky cunts come from?
2nd hand VAN,170k,£600?
Wtf does he expect?its on it's second time round for a timing belt no doubt so he's probably snapped that.
I had this before on a car I sold as cat c,fully highlighted as such but IMO the woman got cold feet after they'd bought it and her son the "mechanic" tough guy thought he'd threaten me down the phone with court, police etc.
Words I told him were,it's passed a government inspection to check its identity, passed a government inspection in the form of an mot,has no faults other than a slightly crap repair (listed and cosmetic only) and was exactly as described.
In the end with his tail between his legs and clearly getting nowhere I offered him a filthy low price to include the tax they'd paid as well and he took it!!!!
Sold it on for my return price and £100 for my hassle to a guy in work who sold it last year after about 10 years trouble free motoring.
Been on the receiving end with my first s1,drove it on a test drive, seemed ok,drove it to the end of the road after buying, turned right and it cut out.
Towed it the 40 miles home where it never really ran right again (metering head) and sold it on 1/2 finished.
My bad as I knew fuck all about fords and how bad they rusted, and this one was as rotten as an mp's expenses form but never once did I try and even contact the seller,it was my mistake for not checking it out end of.
I love this "I'll bring it back to your house for a full refund" shit, good luck, come on my property aggressively and I'll fuck you up and you won't get your money either,I'm always happy to help and like yourself would have offered something towards the repair although you often find this is in vain as these cunts are just trying it on,trying to get something out of it.
You've tried your best, he's fucked you over now tell him to "get to fuck" as we say in Scotland.
Or offer him £100 for the van back if he delivers it too you,my guess is he'll never be seen again.
Not sure if you read the public disputes on eBay but there was a cracker before about a south African guy who bought a £180 Volvo and wanted about £500 back as the head gasket broke on its way home and he'd needed to call the aa out who infamously said "this car should never have been on the road",is that part of the training for the job as EVERYONE of them seems to say it!!!
He'd totally one sided the story and was getting loads of support until the seller came on and cut him down to size as he'd offered the car for spares/repairs only, classic!!!!
