As you can see she was a bit tired and in a bit of a mess but all the bits was there.
After a few weeks of tidying and a bit of a spending spree she started to take shape.

After enjoying a few weeks of trouble free motoring i started having what i thought was fueling issues one min running fine the next she was spluttering and cutting out i also notice that it was running really hot. I did a compresstion check as a quick test and found that the motor was down on 2 and 3 so i sent the head off the be skimmed, I decided to use this as an excuse to raise the compression ratio so had a fair bit took off, 80 thou iirc. Once i got the head back i gave all the ports a good going over and put a Kent fast road cam in. At this time i decided to go through the whole fueling system. I got a new tank, run new fuel lines, facet electric fuel pump and in-line filter and with pressure regulater and a DGAS carb.

After putting it all back together i was still having a problem of missfiring i changed the leads plugs new dizzy cap and rotor arm but at high revs it was still missing so a quick re think i bought a luminition ignition kit and changed the carb for a set of twin 40's and hey presto with a bit of tweeking she ran beautifully. i cant belive the difference the luminiton set up made.

Happy with the engine i turned my attention to the rear suspension as with my new found power the car was tramping extremly bad. After reading a few books i decided to replicate an american design known as slapper bars. Whilst i had it all stripped down i decided to paint all the bits.
