It`s not total blanked, but you don`t got so much exhaust in the inlet, who bloking the ports. It`s always good to take of the inlet and clean it up, you can fil the better respons after.
So, leave the EGR well alone until you do the very much needed 6 month EGR and inlet clean up.
Not knocking you mate but its almost futile to put a plate in with a hole as you achieve nothing in reality.
I would deffo decat tho for 3-5 bhp and better response.
