Mahle are the best choice for a road car engine due to the long life of the ring pack and quietness. There is'nt really a power limit with them, but they are prone to cracking around the little end boss above 8500rpm. (assuming std stroke, the max safe rpm comes down as stroke goes up)
The mahle pin has a profiled shape, being barrel shaped inside the actual little end bush, then slightly thinner either side of centre and then fatter again inside the piston. Allthough this is unique to the Mahle piston you can still use Cosworth 24mm pins with the Mahle piston, though you'll need to check length as I have had to shorten cosworth pins in the past to use in Mahle pistons.
The pins are only available as a complete piston set which comes with piston, rings pin and C-clips.
