here's a thought if you want to go everywhere slowly, try a morris minor, get the old man to insure it and have you as an additional driver, my brother in law has done this and insurance is a whopping £200 a year for both of them with zero no claims bonus.
just a thought, other than that, just ask a broker what they recommend for cheap insurance.
