Hi, I have a 2007, 2.0 Ghia Focus. I have put an airwick air vent car freshner that has leaked onto the Sony single CD player. In short I need a new one.

The current stereo is a Sony single CD player (Generation 1) according to the Ford manual. The stereo is the large square black fascia with small silver buttons on the button, larger multi direction in the middle and a silver strip where the CD goes in.

I have found a 6CD (Model CD132-CD6) player that looks exactly the same other than it takes 6CD's. I called a local Ford Garage who basically have no idea if I could replace mine with this one? I need it to work with the controls behind the steering wheel.

Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated....
