Luke i can understand keyless problems, but its mainly Fords with keys thats the issue round here sadly,
cant work it out!
There is a Pats by pass unit which can be had for about £30, Its pre loaded with firm ware to disable the PATS.
Connects to the wires within the steering colum and it over rides the PATS,
No key needs to be present to start the car, The EML light flashes though
Oh and your right it comes from the states
