when i got my B5 2.5tdi it had done 120k (2005 ish)
i thaught it was fast and i wanted it mapped
got the car back and it flew! But i was told it was not mapped yet, but had the MAF replaced as it was fucked.
they maped it a few weeks later and fuck me, so quick for what it was (Quattro manual)
blah blah, put a bigger turbo on, EGR blank off and cleaned both inlet manifolds (another huge gain)
bigger injector tips/nozzles and mapped again
it did 212bhp and 404lb/ft and was just over 198,000miles by now
only things that failed was PAS pump and the old turbo started having sticky VNT trackts (several MAF`s but thats part and parcel i guess)
the car ran 14sec 1/4`s all day long and hit the governer in 6th at about 148mph on 245/35 18 tyres
midrange torque from 2000rpm@34psi was phenomenal, and still returned cracking fuel economy, once remapped it was cracking on diesesel!
and had more chatter than your mates mum on speed
