Having had RS Turbo's in one form or another for the last decade all I can say is I couldn't suffer one as a daily now. The reasons why are pretty well documented above. In my opinion a rough to ok one has got,' sorry I'm late for work, car troubles!' written all over it.
That's not to say if you get a good one and spend some money on it, that it won't do what's required of it. Mechanicals are simple, if you're thinking of keeping it a while rust will always become a factor on our salty roads though.
