Yep lower, the quirk of the conversions were that Tickford didnt do them in any particular order.

number 500 is not listed on the hpi though, so not officially stolen/recovered but if it was owned by a large company such as Ford etc they dont make insurance claims as they insure themselves technically, so there is a chance it could be the old girl.

I hope it is though, as it makes mine even more desirable to a collector if 500 is a basket case.
I seen it two years ago, its tucked away under covers in a old dusty farm shed with other cars like a Lancia Delta, Mk1 Escort Mexico, Cortina's and old Vauxhalls. The more I find out about it the more it seems like it may be the one. It still doesn't make sense to me that a Moonstone RS500 could be stolen and recovered and police where unable to trace the owner. Surely since there are so few it would have been easy to trace the owner?

Unless of course it belonged to a ford exec and they didn't want a rolling shell back?
