I have had 4 Mk4 Mondeos (a new one each year) and they are absolutely superb IMHO. try to get one with the 6 speed box if you do a lot of motorway work as I do as it adds about 6MPG. Thats because it's as big as a Granada
, so it's a class higher than the segment it's in really, which is good, what lies beneath is a Volvo S60, the "S Max" uses the same floorpan as well.
Not a car I am really into but the 5 pot Volvo engine did sway me and still does, they have glowing reviews as well and look well put together, and, as said, the Derv's are Peugeot engines so should be better than the MK3.
