From the Ford range you have the proven 1.8 (1753cc) this has been going years, from the Escort vans and then the Focus, they are fairly simple as well, but this is a F/F so may not be straightforward to fit!

You also have the 2.4D from the old Transits which are F/R.

If you are looking at newer TDDI units, then you will have a mega job with all the electronics/wiring etc.

Also why has it got to be modern?
