Also there are alot more faults with the PS3's that render them beyond repair. Also the slim's are prone to power pack failure and they are over £50 to change.
Also it is very easy to upgrade the HDD size on an xbox too just a simple format on your computer and put it into the caddy and away you go.
Oh and parts are cheaper for the xbox if something does go wrong.
You cant format a xbox drive in a p.c normaly for it to work. You have to flash the hdd with a certain bin file depending on size of hdd i.e 20/60/120/250/320gb and it has to be a certain make and model to work (not straight forward).
For all out gaming i would go xbox.
