what motor? B5 or B6 shape?

front suspension links are common,
20v not turbo`s are ok
20v turbos are equaly ok, although a bit flat in STD trim

check burning oil and tapping noises on both.

ideally take a code reader with you to scan it, and ideally vag-com

good cars although i dont like later B6 cars, damn ugly and not as nice inside, the B6`s can wear plastics badly with scratches and flaking etc.
