The series 1 has shorter ratio's. better for acceleration and they both have different mountings. regards the mk1 xr2 box its a 4 speed. You'd be aswell converting to a 5 speed out of a mk2 xr2 or escort rs box. the lsd will fit in a mk2 xr2 box though.
