The Mk4 mondeo's are nice, however they cost more. Meaning I have to eat into my savings. I don't want to do that, I want to top UP my savings when the Evo goes.

I like the look of the Mk3 ST. I just don't want to buy one and then have to spend a grand on fuel pumps and injectors.
I would ONLY consider buying a Mk3 if it had already been through the 'shit patch' and had receipts for injectors and a replacement DMF/Clutch.

You could get a lucky one and face no bills for thousands of miles. But after my experiences I definitely wouldn't buy a low mileage one thinking it was a good idea. I'd have been far better off spending a lot less on one that had more miles, but had already had the expensive bits replaced.

You can get a Mk4 for £4K - Hugely more reliable too!
